The website smartbeat.hoptodate.com also includes the linked mobile apps. When Smartflash refers to the website in these terms and conditions, it also refers to the mobile apps.
To use the paid part of the online platform, users must first register as a member on the website smartbeat.hoptodate.com by creating an account with an associated profile. When registering as a Smartflash member, the user will be asked to choose the payment method they wish to use during their membership. The user’s subscription is automatically renewed for successive periods of thirty (30) calendar days until cancelled, at the rate agreed upon at registration. By registering as a member, the user authorizes Smartflash to charge the membership fees and any other costs related to the use of the services, such as taxes and possible transaction fees, each time the renewal date approaches, using the payment method selected by the user at registration, unless the user cancels the membership before the renewal date. If a payment cannot be successfully processed due to an expired payment method, insufficient funds, or any other reason, the membership will automatically end. Users acknowledge that for certain payment methods, the payment provider may charge fees, such as payment processing fees. For more information, users should contact the provider of the payment method they selected. To use Smartflash’s services, the user must have internet access, which may be subject to charges. For costs related to internet access, the user should contact their internet service provider.
The subscription can be cancelled free of charge by the user prior to the start of each new thirty (30) calendar-day billing period. After cancelling, the user will retain access to the paid part of the online platform smartbeat.hoptodate.com until the end of the current billing period.
Payments are non-refundable and no credit will be granted for any full or partial membership periods preceding the termination of the membership during which the user did not use the paid part of the online platform.
To cancel the membership, the user must go to their account on the website smartbeat.hoptodate.com and follow the cancellation instructions. Specific information regarding the termination of the membership can be found in the user’s account.
After the end of the membership, the user will no longer have access to the paid part of the online platform smartbeat.hoptodate.com. The user’s account will be set to inactive for participation in the paid part of the online platform.
The services provided by Smartflash consist of immediate access to digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium. The user acknowledges that they lose their right of withdrawal as soon as Smartflash, with the user’s prior consent, has begun providing the services.
Changes to prices and subscriptions. Smartflash may change subscriptions and the price of its services. Such price changes or subscription changes will only apply thirty (30) calendar days after notice.

If the parties do not reach an amicable settlement within this one-month period, they may bring the matter before the courts.
In the event of a dispute, only the Justice of the Peace Court or the courts of Dendermonde (Belgium) shall have jurisdiction.
